NOK is starting to remind me of a MSFT in terms of its stupid strategic moves (Doh!)...they've simply grown too big and slow to understand and react to the mobile technology landscape...the pending end of Symbian is of no surprise to us at DroidArms, but to focus its resources on Maemo instead seems just as silly to us. By doing so, they're pitting themselves up against GOOG's Android and Chrome in the open source space - good luck with that NOK. I'm almost tempted to say that NOK's rumoured acquisition of PALM last month would've been a less stupid move. With developers hoarding on (1) AAPL's iPhone (2) RIMM's BB (3) PALM's Pre (4) GOOG's Android....and in particular, the first two, does NOK really think Maemo will attract enough attention from developers? NOK may be the #1 handset maker, but let's not forget those are the old legacy dumb-phones...NOK has nuthin' on the smartphone yet and probably just made yet another massive 'snafu' with Maemo...
